Gingivitis

What is Gingivitis?

The primary cause of tooth loss after the age of 35, gingivitis disease can strike without your even knowing.  Gingivitis is caused by plaque, the invisible film of bacteria that forms on teeth.. When not thoroughly removed daily by brushing and flossing, it can cause loose teeth and/or gums to become red, swollen and bleed.

Causes of Gingivitis are:

physical and
chemical irritants
poor diet or disease   abnormal oral
conditions or habits

certain medications   pregnancy

Treatment options vary depending of the severity of the disease. If you  have experienced any of the above conditions or symptoms, a thorough check-up and diagnosis is in order to ensure that you aren't suffering from an unknown case of periodontal disease
